Class  Information

Cancellation

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours (2 days) before the start of your class to receive a full refund. We are unable to offer refunds within the 48 hour period, though you are welcome to send somebody else in your place if you can't attend. Just let us know! If you need to cancel, please reach out to us at patchworkcommunitycraft@gmail.com.

Since spaces are limited, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellation at any time for classes taught by guest or visiting teachers.

Most classes require a minimum of two students to run. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you'll be notified 24 hours before the start of class and will receive a full refund.

Health and Safety

At this time, Patchwork uses an 'Opt In' policy for requiring masks in classes. We have masks available for student use.

All teachers and staff are up to date on vaccines including Covid & Flu.

If you would like to book a private shopping appointment or lesson, please get in touch!

Accessibility

We are committed to accessibility to the best of our ability. Our space is on the first floor with no steps and there is an accessible parking space within 12 feet of our door. We have two private gender neutral bathrooms, though they are not ADA compliant. Please get in touch if you have other needs and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Patchwork is an open and inclusive space and we do not tolerate discrimination based on race, class, gender, sexuality, ability, or size.

Patchwork promotes a 'body neutral' philosophy and we ask students to adopt this when attending our classes. For more information about body neutrality, visit this link.

Scholarships and Outreach

Patchwork Community Craft offers need-based scholarships for folks interested in taking our classes. If you'd like to take a class but need financial assistance, please send us an email! Typically, one scholarship spot is available per class and scholarships are approved on an honor system.

If you are an organization or non-profit looking for somebody to lead workshops or events related to sewing, pattern making, fiber crafts, or fashion entrepreneurship, Patchwork founder Taylor McVay is available for both paid and unpaid engagements. Please reach out to schedule a meeting to discuss details.
