Class  Information

Cancellation

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours (2 days) before the start of your class to receive a full refund. We are unable to offer refunds within the 48 hour period, though you are welcome to send somebody else in your place if you can't attend. Just let us know! If you need to cancel, please reach out to us at patchworkcommunitycraft@gmail.com.

Since spaces are limited, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellation at any time for classes taught by guest or visiting teachers.

Most classes require a minimum of two students to run. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you'll be notified 24 hours before the start of class and will receive a full refund.

Health and Safety

At this time, Patchwork follows an 'opt in' policy for masks in classes. We have masks available for student use. If you are feeling ill, please stay home.

All teachers and staff are up to date on vaccines including Covid & Flu. Staff and teacher who feel ill are required to test and/or mask as necessary to prevent spread of illness.

If you would like to book a private shopping appointment or lesson, please get in touch!

Accessibility

Our space is on the 2nd floor. There is a wheelchair ramp at the front of the building by door #1. The unit can be reached by stairs or elevator. We have two shared gender neutral bathrooms, though they are not ADA compliant. Please get in touch if you have other needs and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Patchwork is an open and inclusive space and we do not tolerate discrimination based on race, class, gender, sexuality, ability, or size.

Patchwork promotes a 'body neutral' philosophy and we ask students to adopt this when attending our classes. For more information about body neutrality, visit this link.

Scholarships and Outreach

Patchwork Community Craft offers need-based scholarships for folks interested in taking our classes. If you'd like to take a class but need financial assistance, please send us an email! Typically, one scholarship spot is available per class and scholarships are approved on an honor system.

We also offer work-trade opportunities for folks with financial need who want to take classes and still compensate the space in a non monetary way.

If you are an organization or non-profit looking for somebody to lead workshops or events related to sewing, pattern making, fiber crafts, or fashion entrepreneurship, Patchwork founder Taylor McVay is available for both paid and unpaid engagements. Please reach out to schedule a meeting to discuss details.
