Cyanotypes on Fabric

Class Description

Cyanotype is a photographic process that dates back to the late 1800s that uses UV light to develop images. In this workshop, you’ll create cyanotypes on fabric using plants and objects. The price of the workshop includes pretreated fabric squares (about bandana sized). Students are encouraged to bring any small objects they’d like to experiment with printing. Items that are transparent or have cutouts make interesting prints: marbles, film negatives, lace, jewelry, etc. You can also use plants from the area or bring your own from home.
