Class Description
In this introductory class, we’ll dive into the world of sewing clothing for children. Using Made by Rae’s Geranium Dress pattern as a starting place, we’ll learn about choosing sizes and fabric, how to maximize paper patterns for repeat use, and following a pattern to create an adorable child’s dress. We’ll also tackle proper seam finishing and how to make garments last for rapidly-growing bodies! Basic sewing knowledge appreciated but not necessary. Patterns will be provided but students will be responsible for bringing their own fabric and thread. If you are interested in the class but would prefer to sew a different garment, please bring an alternative pattern!

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours (2 days) before the start of your class to receive a full refund. We are unable to offer refunds within the 48 hour period, though you are welcome to send somebody else in your place if you can't attend. Just let us know! If you need to cancel, please reach out to us at patchworkcommunitycraft@gmail.com. Since spaces are limited, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellation at any time for classes taught by guest or visiting teachers. Most classes require a minimum of two students to run. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you'll be notified 24 hours before the start of class and will receive a full refund.
