Cabin is a relaxed fit top, tunic or dress with french darts, cut on sleeves, and a back yoke. The neckline, sleeves, and hem are finished with bias facing or binding.

Version 1 is a shirt that ends at mid hip with a center back pleat for a swingy silhouette.

Version 2 is a tunic that hits at mid thigh and includes ‘weltless’ pockets, a design that creates the look of a single welt pocket with a fraction of the effort and only one pattern piece. It can also be made with darts instead of a back pleat.

Version 3 is a dress that hits right above the knee and swaps the back pleat for darts, but it can also be made with the back pleat.

The back pleat can be embroidered with a variety of cabin designs that you can download here, stitched with your own design, or left unadorned.

This pattern includes includes instructions for making your own bias tape. The paper pattern was printed before our size update and includes sizes A-L (see size information here).
