Gender Affirming Alterations Workshop

Are you interested in upgrading your wardrobe to better suit your gender identity and personal style? This Pride weekend, Patchwork is hosting a Gender Affirming Alterations Workshop and Clothing Swap! This event will include a clothing swap, a 1-hr class, and 3 hours of studio time to work on your alterations.

The class starts at 1:30pm (to give participants time to browse the clothing swap) and is PWYC, suggested donation $5-15. We'll cover common adjustments that can help you alter the fit and silhouette of your clothing to better reflect your gender aspirations and personal style. We'll also share tips for how to navigate changing style during transition, fitting for body and medical changes, as well as how to figure out a personal style that aligns with your gender presentation goals. By including a clothing swap in this event, we're hoping to provide even more opportunities for folks to source their dream wardrobe pieces affordably through thrifting & swapping. No experience necessary and all tools are provided.

The clothing swap will happen between 1-3pm and be open to all, including folks who aren't taking the workshop! Participants can bring a grocery bag worth of donations to the swap (limit one per participant!) and take as much as they want.
