Create the perfect pair of jeans in this 5 session course. It includes 10+ hours of instruction focused on professional techniques and advice on how to add unique touches that will make your jeans stand out. With our step-by-step guidance, sewing jeans doesn't need to be intimidating! If you've ever wanted to make your own jeans, this class is for you. Session 1: Choose Pattern Size, Cut Out Pieces Session 2: Sew Fly Front, Sew Pockets Session 3: Finish Pockets, Assmemble Jeans Session 4: Finish Assembling Jeans Session 5: Catch up and Finishing Touches. Please note: While I'm happy to address fit issues in class, this class will focus on jeans construction and doesn't factor in extra time for fitting. If you’d like to work on fitting a pattern ahead of time (or converting a previously altered pants pattern into a pattern suitable for jeans), we recommend booking a 1-2 hour private lesson with me or attend a few sessions of our Open Sewing Studio before the start of class. Supplies needed: - Jeans pattern of your choice (not available at Patchwork, but see our 'Resources' page in the top menu for pattern suggestions) - Denim fabric (See pattern for yardage. Patchwork has a great selection of designer stretch and non-stretch denim in basic colors. *Please pre-launder your fabric however you intend to wash the final garment.
