Make Your Own Jeans

Class Description

Create the perfect pair of jeans with Patchwork’s Make Your Own Jeans course. Learn professional techniques while adding unique touches that will make your jeans stand out. Create jeans that look authentic, from the perfect top stitching to ready to wear finishes like rivets. With our step-by-step guidance, sewing jeans doesn't need to be intimidating. Make your jeans dreams come true! The focus of this class will be jeans construction, but students are welcome to sign up for an optional fit information/troubleshooting session on May 8th from 7-9pm. Students can also book a 1-2hr private lesson for more in depth fitting assistance. All supplies are available at Patchwork, with the exception of jeans patterns. We have a small selection of both stretch and non stretch designer denim, all $10 a yard. For jeans, we recommend pre-washing your denim ahead of time, so be sure to make a shopping appointment before class or purchase during the option fit session. Supplies needed: - Jeans pattern of your choice (not available at Patchwork, but here is a great list of popular jeans patterns: https://www.thelaststitch.com/list-of-jeans-sewing-patterns/ - Denim fabric - Jeans zipper (See pattern for length) - Matching thread (limited color options available at Patchwork) - Coordinating topstitching thread (limited color options available at Patchwork) - 3/4” button or jeans button (available at Patchwork) - Rivets (optional; available at Patchwork)

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours (2 days) before the start of your class to receive a full refund. We are unable to offer refunds within the 48 hour period, though you are welcome to send somebody else in your place if you can't attend. Just let us know! If you need to cancel, please reach out to us at patchworkcommunitycraft@gmail.com. Since spaces are limited, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellation at any time for classes taught by guest or visiting teachers. Most classes require a minimum of two students to run. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you'll be notified 24 hours before the start of class and will receive a full refund.
