Natural Dye: Ecoprinting!

This service is not available, please contact for more information.

About this class

In this 3 hour workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of natural dyeing and create a bandana using the Eco-printing. In this techniques, flowers and plants are arranged on pretreated fabric and then steamed to create beautiful permanent designs. Students will learn about how to pre-treat fabric and which plants and materials are best for dyeing, as well as what common household items and food waste can be used to print as well! All materials for printing 1 bandana are included in the class. Students are welcome to bring in plant material they would like to try printing (but be advised, not all plants will create a print!) Students should wear clothing that they don't mind getting (potentially permanently) dirty or wet.
