Learn how to dye fabrics with Indigo, an ancient dyestuff used all around the world. This class will teach you basic resist dye techniques including the use of clamps, rubber bands, or thread to make unique patterns. Well use a pre-made indigo vat, but we'll discuss the ways you can create an indigo dye vat at home. Please bring 2 or more items made from cellulose fabric (cotton, linen, hemp, etc) to dye. Limited to clothing, accessories and small home goods only like napkins and tea towels. No bed sheets, blankets, duvet covers, or large tablecloths.
