In this class, you’ll learn basic improvisational patchwork and quilting techniques to create a fun spring layering piece! This quilted vest is cozy, on trend, and reversible. This class is suitable for all skill levels, so if you've taken one of our beginner classes and are feeling ambitious, you can sign up! This is also a great entry into garment sewing for seasoned quilters. This project is the perfect way to use up treasured scraps and fat quarters. You can go all out with wild colors and prints or keep it simple in a monochromatic palette. You can choose between a classic snap front vest and a cropped, open front vest. You can also choose between bias binding and plain finish for the edges of your vest. You can bring your own supplies to this class OR purchase them at Patchwork. The pattern for this project is included in the class cost. Supplies needed: - A selection of fabric yardage, fat quarters or scraps. Medium weight woven fabrics recommended. - 1-2 yards of cotton or wool batting (depending on size and style of your vest) - 1/2" double fold bias binding OR fabric to make your own (optional) - Snaps, size 16 prong recommended (if you are making the snap front version) - Thread

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours (2 days) before the start of your class to receive a full refund. We are unable to offer refunds within the 48 hour period, though you are welcome to send somebody else in your place if you can't attend. Just let us know! Since spaces are limited, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellation at any time for classes taught by guest or visiting teachers. Most classes require a minimum of two students to run. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you'll be notified 24 hours before the start of class and will receive a full refund.
