Sew a Baseball Cap

Saturday June 29th from 1-5pm // $95


Class Description

Ever wanted to make your own custom baseball cap? In this class, you'll learn how to create your very own personalized cap. You'll have the freedom to choose your own custom fabrics and add fun details like a top button or vents. Bring your own fabric or chose from our selection of secondhand, deadstock, and vintage fabrics. Experience using a sewing machine is required for this class. If you'd like to take it and you're a total beginner, sign up for a Learn To Sew workshop or a private lesson beforehand! The class price includes all special materials require for making a baseball cap, including brim insert, back closure, and more. All you need is fabric and thread! You can bring your own fabric & thread to this class OR purchase them at Patchwork. Students have the option of adding custom machine embroidery for their hat! If you'd like to do this, you'll need to send your embroidery file to the instructor before class at Patchworkcomunitycraft@gmail.com. Embroidery files must be 2"x2" (56mmx56m) or smaller.= and in .pes format. You can find machine embroidery patterns on Etsy and many free options at https://www.embroiderydesigns.com/freeembroiderydesigns. If you choose to do embroidery, you'll want to purchase all thread colors needed for you design as Patchwork's selection is limited. Supplies needed: .5 yds mid to heavy weight woven fabric like twill, canvas, or denim. (At Patchwork, we have a variety of denim and a few colors of duck canvas including black, wine red, teal, and natural/undyed) Thread


Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking, you'll need to do so 48 hours before the start of the first class session. After that, we will not be able to offer you a refund. We recommend finding a friend or acquaintance who'd like to take your place. If we are able to fill your spot we may be able to offer you a refund, though we cannot guarantee this.
