Sew a Chore Coat
Sew a Chore Coat
About this class
A chore coat is the perfect Fall wardrobe stable. It is loose fitting and comfy, great for layering, and you can stash stuff in the big pockets. Choose your own adventure with fabric: make your coat in all one print or mix and max fabrics for a one-of-a-kind look. This class is most suitable for advanced beginners (you should feel comfortable using a sewing machine and sewing straight & curved seams). You'll learn to sew perfect patch pockets, set in a sleeve, attach a convertible style collar, and sew buttonholes. This class is 4 sessions and everyone works at a different pace. If you are unable to finish in class, you can continue to work on the project at our free craft nights or book a private lesson. Supplies: Pattern is included in the price of the class. All supplies for this project may be purchased at Patchwork, though please be aware our selection is limited. Feel free to book a shopping appointment ahead of the start of class! -2-4 yards of medium-heavyweight fabric like denim, canvas, etc. Amount depends on size and style. -Coordinating or contrasting thread -(5) 3/4"-1" buttons
